Troop 166 welcomes all of our Scouts and their parents to our spring advanced outing at Camp Birch. “Night Heist” is an advanced clue-solving Treasure Hunt competition that brings together many of the Scouts’ skills and outdoor knowledge, including map reading, night orienteering, radio communication, cryptology and code-breaking, linguistics, teamwork, and leadership.

Meet at Bexley United Methodist Church at 6 pm on Friday (eat dinner before you arrive), return by Noon on Sunday. Travel in Class A uniform.

Cost $30/Scout, $20/parent (plus parents will split their cost for food).

In addition to regular clothing for the weather, be sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries, pen and/or pencil and paper, small day pack, and orienteering compass (if you have one). We will be cabin camping but bring sleeping bag, sleeping pad, mess kit, and water bottle.

Note, this outing was moved a week ahead to avoid conflicts with competing high school activities on the originally scheduled date.
