Important meeting! D.A.R.E meeting (only time in the next 12 months to meet this 2nd class requirement!) plus preparing for the Pumpkin Chuckin’ outing — including designing our pumpkin chuckin’ devices!

Lt. Vermaaten, of the Bexley Police Department, will be our special guest speaker regarding the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco and other practices that can be harmful to your health.

For those Scouts who need to complete (old book) 2nd Class, #9a or (new book) #7c, please plan to attend. We only offer this meeting once per year. If a Scout is planning to achieve 2nd Class rank in the next 12 months, please plan to attend this meeting.

Also, parents: please send your Boy Scout with your Scout and Adult leader dues. See above for details.

Friday, November 18, 6 pm – Sunday, November 20, noon: Pumpkin Chuckin’ outing (Boy Scouts meet at Church Friday night; Webelos meet at Falling Rock on Saturday at 10 — see details below)

You don’t want to miss this one! Our annual Pumpkin Chuckin’ outing is scheduled at Falling Rock, November 18-20. Boy Scouts will meet in the church parking lot at 6:00PM and return on Sunday at Noon.

Webelos and their parents are welcome to join this outing starting Saturday morning around 10 am at Falling Rock (use the winter entrance, we’ll be down at the lower field). You are welcome to stay through dinner or camp with us overnight Saturday (parents must stay as well). Just note your attendance below and remember Webelos and new potential parents are free guests.

We will be cabin camping in the ScoutMaster Lodge for this outing but outside during the day at lower field. Dress for the weather including good gloves for carrying wood and building Pumpkin Chuckin devices!

Take a moment and review your Scout Handbook and use this camp out to complete a few requirements! Cost for Boy Scouts and Troop 166 Adults will be $25 each.

Can’t wait to see you there!
