We have scheduled a special Troop meeting on Thursday, November 5 at 6 PM for Sgt. Overly-Sheterom to present information to help Scouts learn about the dangers of drug and substance abuse. This information will help Scouts meet the 2nd Class “Drug and substance abuse” requirement.
Second Class Requirement 9a:
Participate in a school, community, or troop program on the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco and other practices that could be harmful to your health. Discuss your participation in the program with your family, and explain the dangers of substance addictions.
We will meet in out regular meeting space at Bexley United Methodist Church.
If your Scout needs this requirement for advancement (and most of them do) please plan for your Scout to attend this special Troop meeting. I also recommend that parents attend to hear this important message.
Because of the Bexley Public School schedule, there is no school in Bexley on Monday., November 2 so this will be our only Troop Meeting for that week.
