Our August outing will be a canoeing and fishing outing on the weekend of August 16 – 18.
We will be meeting at the Church at 6 PM on Friday, August 16 to pack up and be underway by 6:30.
Please eat dinner before arriving at the Church.
We will be traveling to Mohican State Park (about 90 minutes) where we will be staying in the group campsite. We will have a snack before turning in to sleep in tents.
We get up on Saturday, cook breakfast, clean up and then travel a short distance outside of the state park to a canoe livery to rent canoes.
We will spend the morning canoeing on the Mohican River river, eating lunch along the way.
In the early afternoon we will be returning to the canoe livery and then returning to the State Park campsite.
In the afternoon we will fish along the Clearfork River within the State Park.
In the evening, we will return to the campsite, cook dinner, cleanup and spend the night in tents.
On Sunday morning, we will pack up, clean up and return to Bexley, arriving back at the Church at about noon.
The cost of the trip will be $10 for camping + $7 for food + $18 for canoe rental = $35 per scout.

Youth will be able to fish without a license under the supervision of a license holder.
If you want to fish, please plan to bring fishing rods and tackle and perhaps a rod to share.
Please let me know if there are questions.
