Q:Why did we go touring before we went to Seabase?
A: Because it was there
Since this was going to be a new opportunity to visit Florida, the members of the crew decided we should spend some time seeing some of the things you can only see in Florida:
- Visit Gatorland
- Swim with the Manatees
In addition to these activities, we also squeezed in a very short trip to Key West on our way in. Add this panoply of activities to our need to get cheap flights, and…well, let’s just say we spent a good amount of time on the road!
Here is a quick overview of our route:
- Columbus to Tampa
- Tampa to Crystal River, via Gatorland
- Swim with the manatees (at Crystal River)
- Crystal River to Deerfield Beach
- Deerfield Beach to Seabase via Key West
