April Outing – Ziplining

Just a few reminders for those attending the Ziplining outing this weekend.

We will meet at the church  at 6 PM on Friday, April 13. You should have dinner before you arrive.

We will be traveling to Camp Friedlander (Loveland, OH – about 2 hours away) where we will be tent camping overnight.

We will be camping and cooking by patrols. Scouts attending should already know what patrol they are in and who they are sharing a tent with. Adults are welcome to tent alone. If anyone needs to borrow a tent, please let me know and I will find one for you.

On Saturday morning we will travel to Camp Kern, the Dayton area YMCA Camp, for Ziplining. Remember to dress for the weather and no open-toed shoes.

We’re return  to Camp Friedlander overnight on Saturday night and return to the Church at about noon on Sunday.

Please remember that we travel in Class “A” uniforms and remember to bring your Scout handbook. The handbook provides wonderful lists of what to bring for a camp out. Remember to check the weather and pack (and dress) accordingly.

We cook and eat together as a group, so no food or drinks unless you are the Scout buying food for the group. Remember to bring a water bottle.

Scouts, please leave cell phones, music players and video games at home. You can live without them for a couple of days. Adults have phones for communications.

Please let me or Mrs. Kirschner know if you have questions.

Thanks to Mrs. Kirschner for arranging the details of this outing.

Mr. Fulton.
