November Outing – Pumpkin Chucking

For our November outing we’ll be traveling to Camp Falling Rock near Newark with plans, tools, pumpkins, and dreams of building trebuchets that are even better than last year.

When:  leaving on Friday, November 18, meeting at 5:30 PM, returning at about noon on Sunday

Where: meet and return to Bexley United Methodist Church, camping at Camp Falling Rock

What: Cabin camping (unless you want to bring a tent and sleep outdoors)

What to bring: 10 essentials (minus trail food) (pg. 264) and Personal Camping Checklist (pg. 292) (page references are from ther 12th edition of the Boy Scout Handbook)

Cost: $30 per participant (additional costs include materials for trebuchets , pumpkins, cabin rental)

Notes: We travel in Class”A” uniforms. Don’t bring food unless that’s your assignment. No personal electronics or phones. Bring your Scout book.
