What should Scouts bring to Every Troop Meeting?
- Uniform (Class “A” during the school Year, Class “B” from Memorial Day to Labor Day)
- Boy Scout Handbook – every Scout has one. It should come to every Troop meeting and outing. Younger Scouts need it to work on requirement. Older Scouts need it to teach requirements.
- Paper and Writing Instrument – We discuss dates and times and money amounts for upcoming events and outing. We plan and make commitments for future activities.
- Money and permission slips for upcoming outings
- A positive attitude – our Troop meeting is an opportunity to work on skills, plan for upcoming activities and adventures and to spend time with a great group of Scouts and adults. Make the most of our time together.
- A plan – Isn’t there at least one thing that you can accomplish at this week’s Troop meeting? Get a requirement signed off? Find a merit badge counselor for that next merit badge you need? Take on a leadership role (there are plenty available) to fulfill an advancement requirement? If you accomplish just one thing each week, think of how much you can accomplish in a year!
