On the weekend of Tax Day (April 15 – 17) we’ll be undertaking the Troop’s first Zip-lining Outing.
On Friday at 5:30 we’ll be meeting at the Church. At 6 PM we’ll be leaving the Church and traveling to Caesar Creek State Park near Waynesville, OH to spend the night. We will be camping in tents.
On Saturday morning, we’ll be traveling to Ozone Zipline Adventures at YMCA Camp Kern, Oregonia, OH (near Dayton) and taking part in our scheduled zip-lining activities.
Notes from the Zip-lining provider:
- …everyone participating be at least 10 years old (check) and weigh between 80 and 260 pounds.
- …closed toe hiking or athletic type footwear – No Crocs or flip-flops allowed.
- We recommend that guests wear layered clothing. Please remove all hanging jewelry prior to the tour.
- Sunglasses are taken at your own risk and a strap is recommended.
- Guests are permitted to bring a camera on tours, at your own risk, but they must have a wrist strap that we can attach to a harness.
Other information is here.
After zip-lining, we’ll be returning to The Ceser Creek State Park for the night.
On Sunday morning, we’ll returning to Columbus, arriving at the Church at about noon.
The cost is $78 ($60 of which is the fee for the zip-lining activity).
We still need at least one more adult to drive each way (we have 2 and we’ll likely need 3 each way). Adults are always welcome to join us for the outing and/or for the activity.
Thanks to Mrs. Kirschner for coordinating the arrangements for this outing.
