Our first outing of the year takes us back to Camp Falling Rock near Newark on Friday January, 21.
We’ll meet at the Church at 6 PM for a planned 6:30 departature.
Overnight on Friday, we’ll be staying in a cabin. On Saturday morning, the Scouts will be building outdoor shelters with the goal of spending the night overnight outside in an improvised shelter.
If you’ve seen “Survivorman” or “Beyond Survival”, you get the idea. No one will be spending the night inside of a dead moose carcass.
Adults will provide supervision and advice on the shelter construction.
Overnight on Saturday, we’ll be checking on the Scouts and moving them back into the cabin if they need or want to spend the night there.
Safety is our first concern, so we’ll be monitoring things carefully.
Sunday, we’ll be returning to the church at about 12:30
Cost for the outing will be $18.
How to stay warm? Here are some earlier posts that may be useful
Here’s the list of Scouts that I believe are attending the outing:

- Peter B.
- Lyle P.
- Noah D.
- Peter K.
- Wade R.
- Nick L.

Please let me know at once if if this list isn’t correct or if things change.
Thanks,
Mr. Fulton
