On Friday, November 12th the Troop will be traveling to Camp Falling Rock (CFR), near Newark, OH for our first Pumpkin Chucking Outing. The Scouts will be working on pumpkin launching devices which we will take with us to CFR for final assembly.
Video of some small-scale pumpkin launching devices are shown here.
We have reserved a cabin at CFR, but some of us will be bringing tents (because we need to fulfill requirements or because we like sleeping in tents).
We’ll meet at Church on Friday at 5:30 PM and return about 12:30 on Sunday (Nov. 14)
The cost for the outing will be $23. (Some of you paid more than $23 and I’ll be happy to refund the excess if you would like. Sorry for any confusion.) It was raised from $18 to cover the cost of material to build pumpkin launching devices.
All Scouts and Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
We’ll also have Weblos II’s from a couple of Packs coming with us and some Weblos I’s coming to visit.
It will be a grand outing.
Please let me know if there are questions or issues.
