Scout Sunday will be celebrated on this Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Bexley United Methodist Church during the 10:30 AM traditional service. The church would like for Troop 166 Scouts to participate in the service as greeters to stand in the entry ways to the sanctuary to greet folks and hand out bulletins; ushers to collect the offering by passing the offering plates; and the read the scripture lesson for the day from the lecturn. The chrurch will provide me with the reading for the day once the pastor has made the selection.
If I can provide the names of the Scouts, they will be printed in the church bulletin.
Scouts will need to be at the church at 10 AM on Sunday for for a brief overview of instruction on Sunday, Feb. 7.
This is an important expression of our thanks to our charting organization and a recognition of the role of the 12th point of the Scout law (Reverance).
