Thank you for your interest in our Oceanography Merit Badge Program! We are very excited about the upcoming Oceanography program and we hope that you are too!
The Details
Who: Boy Scouts
What: Oceanography Merit Badge
When: Sunday, April 25, 2010; 9:00-4:00
Where: The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
How: Pre-registration is required. Contact 614-724-3496 to
register. Registration opens on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.
Cost: $30.00 per scout. Leaders that remain with the boys during the
program are admitted at no charge.
Additional information:
? Registrations will not be accepted before Saturday, March 6th at 8:00. No exceptions! Registration is limited to the first 130 boys.
? Due to the large volume of registration calls on March 6th, your call will be recorded and time stamped. When you call to register you will receive my voicemail. On my voicemail please clearly leave the following information: your name, troop #, council, phone number where you can be reached on Monday, and the number of boys you would like to register. You will be contacted the following Monday to confirm your registration. We will also be asking for a contact mailing address and the names and grades of the boys attending. Please have this information with you on Monday.
? Once you have been confirmed, you will be invoiced for number of scouts registered. Invoices will be sent out once all 130 spots are filled.
? This badge workshop is not all-inclusive. During this program scouts will accomplish eight of ten requirements. Requirement eight is not completed. This can be done as a post requirement once the program is completed.
? The tenth requirement is a short quiz to be completed by the scout after the program. Upon completion of these last two requirements, the scouts will be eligible for their Oceanography Merit Badge.
? No blue cards will be signed the day of the program! You will need to send your blue card, completed quiz, and Requirement #8 to Melissa after the program.
