Scenery
It’s really hard to show in photos the sheer beauty of the Canadian backwoods, especially from a canoe.
Nevertheless, here is just a small sample from our trip…
This series of four photos was taken from our camp at Lake Sasiginigak. The campsite was located on the eastern edge of the lake, providing an awesome view of the sunset in the west.
This set of three photos was taken from our island camp on Lake Sawdon. Above is the view of the sun as it ascended in the morning over the still waters of the lake. Below it is a shot from the night before as we were settling into camp. The shot at the bottom is the sunset, taken from nearly the same spot as the picture above it, but looking off to the west.
This is our campsite on Chicken lake, really a long peninsula jutting out into the middle of the lake. The wind rolled off one lake, over us, and down the other side. This is looking through the trees to the west in the late afternoon.
Sunset, Scout Lake.
Our last night in the back country.
‘Nuff said.
